Cortaderia Richardii - South Island Toetoe - Large growing and distinctive grass that forms a large clump of tough foliage and majestic flower spikes up to 3m tall. Very tough, hardy and fast growing withstanding strong winds, cold conditions, drought and coastal conditions.

NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH THE NON NATIVE "PAMPAS GRASS" Also often referred to as Toi Toi, Pampas is a huge growing unpleasant introduced weed, unlike the native ToeToe which belongs in New Zealand and is an important part of our landscape.
