Schefflera digitata also commonly known as pat ē or seven finger is a small New Zealand native tree which grows in lowland to lower montane forests. Patē prefers the damp and shady parts of the forests on roadsides or stream banks. The patē has a stout form and because of the leaflets which often have 3-9 leaves which stem from the centre the tree has a weeping shrub appearance. The leaves are thin and soft to touch but that serrated edges which vary in intensity depending on the age of the plant. Patē flowers in late summer with umbles of small green flowers followed by whitish purple berries which are an important food source for native birds.

Plant patē in a sheltered position in good moist soil for best results.hese are our standard size in 7cm square pots.
