Anisotome lyallii - Sub-Antartic megaherb - A lush, low growing herbacous plant from the Antartic Islands.   Related to the carrot it has large lush carrot like leaves and growth.  Produces masses of white flowers in summer and Autumn.   Tough coastal plant, excellent for adding lush green to the coastal garden.   Great mass planted.   Mature height 80cm x with 60cm.

Megaherbs are lush leafy plants that form vast meadows mainly on the offshore Antartic Islands.   This example is also native to Fiordland and Coastal Southland.  A great talking point in the native garden.  Rarely available.
